LASER HAIR REMOVAL

Lasers can target dark hair at the follicle, without damaging surrounding tissues. In this manner, the root of the hair gets destroyed, preventing regrowth. The treatments are virtually painless and quick. We offer the latest devices to obtain the best results. Treatments are performed every 4-8 weeks depending on the area being addressed.

How to Prepare for Laser Hair Removal

It is important to avoid waxing or plucking for 3-4 weeks before your treatment. This is because the laser targets the root of the hairs and the these methods remove them temporarily. You should also avoid direct sun exposure and self tanners for 4 weeks before your treatment.

What to Expect During Laser Hair Removal

Arrive with cleanly shaven skin and avoid the use of deodorant, lotions, or makeup. You will be given appropriate eye protection and our technician will adjust the laser settings according to your specific needs. She will also apply a clear gel to the treatment area to help cool the skin and make the treatment more comfortable. The laser will be pulsed over the areas to be treated to target the hair follicles. When you're done, you will be scheduled to returned after 4-8 weeks, depending on your particular needs. Over the next month, watch your hair fall out!

LASER FOR PIGMENT

Hyperpigmentation can occur on the skin for a variety of reasons. Most often, it is due to an increase in melanin in one area of the skin after extended sun exposure. You may also find yourself with hyperpigmented spots due to your genetics or due to past treatments that you had that irritated your skin and created dark spots.

Spot Treatment

Single hyperpigmented spots can be treated with our Cutera excel. The treatment is quick, painless, and often a single session is sufficient to achieve full correction. You might notice that right after the treatment, the spot might become darker and a scab may form. This is completely normal and a sign that the laser did its job. The scab will fall within two weeks showing new healthy skin.

Diffuse Pigmentation Treatment

Areas affected by photo-aging, freckles, and other brown or red pigment can be successfully treated with our Cutera XL laser. The most common areas we treat include the face, chest, arms, and hands. The treatment is quick and very tolerable. There is no real downtime, but you should expect to see the pigment darken after treatment and some small scabs may appear as well. A second session can be performed after four weeks if desired.

LASER GENESIS

This Nd:YAG laser with a wavelength of 1064-nm has been proven efficient for skin rejuvenation due to its ability to provide long-lasting stimulation of elastin. It will also increase the amount of collagen, resulting in clinically improved skin tone and texture.

How Does Laser Genesis Work

Laser genesis works with thermal energy, heating deeper layers of the skin to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin to improve skin's elasticity and firmness. This results in the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, and improved tone and texture. In addition, laser genesis targets tiny vessels and capillaries that cause redness in patients with conditions such as rosacea, and kills bacteria on the surface of the skin, making it an easy and effective acne treatment. This is a 30 minute treatment that has no downtime. Sessions can be done every 2-4 weeks and a series of 3-10 treatments are recommended.

VEINS AND CAPILLARIES

This Nd:YAG laser with a wavelength of 1064-nm can treat unwanted vascular lesions to reveal a more clear complexion. Watch your veins disappear with a simple laser treatment.

Laser Treatment For Facial Veins

Telangectasias, also known as spider veins, are dilated or broken capillaries that appear as pink or red lines. They are commonly seen with skin conditions like rosacea on the cheeks, and often around the nose on those individuals that tend to pick or try to extract blemishes. A quick and simple laser treatment can help remove those veins to reveal a more even complexion. The treatment is very tolerable and offers no down time. Usually one session is sufficient for most patients.
